| Vessel Gallery is proud to present a spectacular
fusion of Italian glass mastership with the cream of British creative
talent. Once again we have teamed up with renowned Murano company
Salviati to invite four artists from different design arenas to explore
their response to this wonderfully fluid medium. The unique and limited
edition pieces created will be sold exclusively at Vessel this Autumn.
This project follows on from the success of the first exhibition
in 2000, which included inspiring work by Anish Kapoor, Tom Dixon,
Nigel Coates and Tord Boontje - where most of the work sold out
on the first night, and the publicity generated internationally
still resonates today four years on.
It is particularly timely for Vessel to revisit the format,
as it celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, and so much
has been achieved in this short time. As catalysts in the design
world, it is an honour for the directors, Nadia Demetriou Ladas & Angel
Monzon to be able to introduce great talents to a new medium,
and fulfill their mission of discovering tomorrow's classics
