Their bold use of colour and modern sensibility combine to produce joyful, imaginative work. The pieces are contradictory being synthetic, organic and hand made all at the same time.

Well known for their public and private commissions, for Vessel Gallery they have produced a vibrant unique sculptural chandelier in acrylic that resembles a bouquet of alien botany.

Blooming Spark I

First exclusive presentation of a new bespoke chandelier edited by Vessel Gallery by French glass artist Mylen Eliot. Hundreds of small hand sculpted crystal flowers cascade randomly from a studded stainless steel canopy making it a visual feast for the eye. This project is aimed at both the residential and commercial market with infinite possibilities of assembly and execution.

In her own words: ʻI work with hot glass in its fluid state. My unorthodox approach in the hot shop has allowed me to start manipulating it intuitively, responding quickly to the ever changing liquid state of the molten glassʼ, ‘Hot-glass doesn’t need polishing and I have kept a direct intuitive and natural roughness in my approach to manipulating the glass’. Ice Flowers is part of an expanding range of Vessel lighting editions for the bespoke and decorative contract market.

Ice Flowers. Approximate size: Height 175 cm, Diameter 60 cm.
Stainless steel canopy with light source 6x7W LED GU10.
Custom finishes and other sizes available. Also installations.
Manufactured to EC standards. Made in the UK.

New in our showroom at Vessel Gallery, a host of miniature glass men that constitute Angel Falls crystal chandelier by Nigel Coates. Each figure is hand crafted into a  ‘base-jumping’ pose with limbs outreached. The piece is available in three different densities of angels: 12, 18 and 24 hand-made glass men that are suspended from a plectrum shaped brushed nickel canopy with halogen/LED flushed lighting spots.

We’re currently showcasing new pieces by Cathryn Shilling, who having studied in Connecticut returned to the UK and has a studio based here in London. Her Standing Forms appear to be mimicking the construction of fabric. Her use of different coloured glass rods enhance the woven like appearance of each piece, which is then slumped, allowing it to stand giving each piece a strong presence in contrast of the implied flexibility inherent to cloth.

Standing Form £900 each, H 42 – 45cm
