| Lladró Re-Cyclos by Committee |
Another of the new Lladró introductions is the new edition of Re-Cyclos, signed for the
occasion by the British team Committee, made up of Harry Richardson and Clare Page,
who both trained at the Liverpool Art School.
One of the themes chosen by this creative team is the love of a couple, whose evolution is
depicted by a truly characteristic element in the creations of this porcelain brand:
handmade flowers, made petal by petal. The work proposal consists of three couples
made of white porcelain covered progressively by flowers, signifying the growth of their
feelings. This trilogy comes to a close with a spectacular creation, covered with the
greatest number of flowers ever created in the history of Lladró: over a thousand flowers
covering the character's bodies.
Taking the animal kingdom as their source of inspiration, with Celebration and Curiosity,
Committee creates a fantasy world in which the spirit of the pieces is further enhanced by
using golden tones. In their reinterpretation of Elephants Walking the golden color
simulates a jet of water sprayed by the elephants over their backs from their trunks. This
detail is different depending on the piece. In the case of The monkey, Committee
underscores this character's curiosity transforming the flower, capturing its attention into a
fountain of liquid gold soaking its hand and marking the finger trying to touch it. |
