A circular (or sometimes oval) fruit dish made up of strips of clay, extruded from a 'dod' box, which are woven together skillfully by hand to form an open flared basket form. The twig basket and stand appear in the 1790 'Useful Ware' catalogue issued by the Etruria factory.
