For West it was the excitement, challenge and unpredictability of hot glass that immediately had him hooked. With a career spanning over ten years, West has been consumed with glass through various guises: technician, teacher and above all artist. It is his role as the glass studio co-ordinator at Plymouth College of Art that has aided his artistic pursuits and helped him build on his knowledge of working with the material. To expand and hone the various hot and cold processes and techniques employed.
