‘These vessels have a definite bird like quality, the idea was conceived whilst marvelling at a documentary on the great flocks of birds that migrate between Europe and Africa. I felt enormous pleasure thinking that various birds that I may encounter in the spring, would most likely have just flown in from my birthplace.’
