With her Nymphenburg Sketches collection, Jongerius highlights the Manufactory’s hand crafted products and quality of making. From a vast catalogue of over 30,000 designs dating back to the 18th century she has focused on animal and floral motifs which have been interpreted in a very contemporary way. All the plates are unique as the images are placed at the discretion of the painter and the forms vary in depth and size with the marks left from crafting.
