In the artist's own words;
"In 2012 The Jerwood Foundation awarded me one of 5 makers prizes to fund the creation of a new body of work to be exhibited at the Jerwood Space, London. The first piece Hive comprised of a series of large scale distorted blown glass components. Each blown form was then filled with distilled water to give the illusion of solid and impossibly heavy glass objects. The piece went on to be exhibited at the Oriel Mostyn Gallery, Wales and Shipley Art Museum in Gateshead"
