Spring Collection by Simon Moore
2nd June 2017

Simon Moore has been making and designing glass for over 30 years building up a reputation for both his technical and artistic mastery. From the functions of a stemmed wineglass or a boldly-marked vase, to the sculptural abstractions of considered form, what remains core to his practice is the experience of skill and the beauty of workmanship.
Moore is strongly influenced by English and Venetian manufacturing techniques and in 1999 was appointed as creative director at Salviati, the only person outside of Italy to hold this position. He now creates his work from his own London based studio.
In his own words;
ʻMy overriding concern throughout the making process is that the final object should be both practical in its use and sensual in its tactile pleasuresʼ
New to the gallery are Moore's latest creations in his spring colours. Vibrant citrus hues sit along side pale aquas and blues, all accompanied by his earthier palette of stone greys and olives.
