'Still Life with Fish & Molluscs' is from the British artist Elliot Walker's ongoing body of unique still life artworks.

Freehand sculpted in clear and black glass with iridescent detail, the piece incorporates an elegant black centrepiece adorned with a single fish, coral, oyster and mixed seashells, which nestle on a bed of black sand. The artwork comes with its own plinth created from MDF coated in micro cement which the glass bowl bolts on to. 

Each unique component is painstakingly created from glass and although in the artist's vision there is a set way these should be displayed, Walker also invites the individual to reposition the pieces as they choose. These are shipped as separate components and will need placing together to create the final artwork.

Combining exceptional glass making skills with a novelist’s ability for storytelling, Walker literally sculpts his glass, creating artworks that are the essence of curiosity, inviting the viewer closer. His Still Life compositions have the poise of classical paintings. Symbols of domestic life are carefully balanced with the transient, however, these will never decay but are permanently held in this fleeting moment.
