'Gambo d’Oro’ (Stem of Gold) is a unique centrepiece by the British artists, Anthony Scala and Liam Reeves.

With very differing practices, Scala and Reeves have collaborated to create works that are a unique result of their combined skills. Paying homage to Venetian glass, their choice of the soft milky white, opaline colour, is a direct reference to one of the most traditional palettes used. 

Beginning with free-blown elements created by Reeves, an authority on the history of Venetian glass & techniques, the final precise construction is undertaken by Scala. Elegant and refined, the hollow stem is filled with lustrous gold leaf, accentuating the undulating form.
